Welcome to
Home Grown Here

We are a grower owned co-operative of local producers offering a single market place for high quality, Cumbrian-grown fruit and vegetables. Our online sales portal allows growers to trade directly with Cumbria-based wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, hotels, cafes, farm shops and veg box schemes.

Fresh & Green

Our pre-ordering system ensures crops are picked to order so they are fresher than any other supplier and there’s absolutely no food waste. Crops are sold loose with minimal packaging and we welcome the return of our boxes for re-use. Many of the crops require hand-picking which means people instead of machines are in the fields which is better for the environment. This also means more jobs, stronger communities and more money being spent in the local economy. Keeping Cumbria’s home-grown produce here in the county reduces food miles, helps us to eat seasonally and is brilliant news for Cumbria’s carbon footprint.

Supporting Cumbrian Farmers

HOME GROWN HERE encourages & supports Cumbrian farmers to grow more fruit and vegetables by providing them with:

  • seed/plants/soil analysis at the beginning of each season
  • advice, skills-sharing & networking opportunities
  • a range of specialist machinery & equipment available to all growers
  • a route to market for crops
  • a team of trained seasonal pickers to work across all farms
  • personalised branding for each grower

Let's work together

We are always keen to hear from new growers, both organic and conventional.
